The best way we recommend to measure for moccasins is to trace each foot. While standing on a piece of paper, trace around each foot with a pen or pencil, keeping the pen or pencil vertical as you go around. You may need help from someone for this step. Once you have each foot traced, measure from the longest toe to the back of the heel. We prefer centimeters as it is more accurate than using inches, but either will do. Next, measure the width of your foot at the ball, just below the toes. Use these measurements to compare to our size charts.
For custom moccasins, we will also require an instep measurement. To take this measurement, use a soft tape measure or a string and start on the outside of your foot. From the floor in front of the ankle, go up and over the top of the foot, just below the ankle area, and back down to the floor on the inside of the foot. We need this measurement from both feet. We only need a measurement over the top of the foot, we do not require the entire circumference. The instep measurement will help to determine how much material is needed across the top of the foot.
